ALBUM & SOLO TOUR

"IT'S EASIER TO REMEMBER SOMETHING IF YOU TURN IT INTO A SONG."

- G.T. THOMAS

Amsterdam-based recording and performing artist G.T. Thomas highlights revelations from her practice of daily journaling and transforms them into memorable refrains on her upcoming album of PROGRESSIVE DREAM POP songs (release: November 2019).

What began as a quest to make these mantras available to herself at instant recall becomes an opportunity for live audiences to positively shift their own perspectives, during her tour of the North East of her home country (USA), November 1 - 18, 2019.

It's not just her lyrics that inspire one to realize their individual potential for awesomeness, but her live performance itself:
In her  mesmerizing spin on the one-woman-band, G.T. Thomas accompanies her soft, intense voice by simultaneously performing bass, synthesizer, and drum machine – all LIVE (no computer, no backing tracks, no loopers).

More background INFO

In various incarnations since 2003, G.T. Thomas has performed her original songs on stages from Seattle, to NYC, to Amsterdam and beyond. Having worked with artists like Fleet Foxes, The Metropole Orchestra, Benny Sings, and many others as a session player or co-writer, G.T. Thomas is also no stranger to writing and performing all the parts on her own, self-produced tracks.

That being said, never before has she attempted to perform all the instruments simultaneously in her live act (a feat she calls "simultiinstrumentalism" – amalgamating the words "simultaneous" and "multi-instrumentalism"). At this moment, her work is heavily inspired by fellow simultiinsrumentalists Nate Wood (fOUR) and Catriona Sturton, creative mastermind Jim Henson (The Muppets), and her longest standing musical hero Donald Fagen (Steely Dan).

"When people ask me what I've got up my sleeve, I keep finding... my own arms."

- G.T. Thomas
